a night in praha.

The weather this night was misty and cold, but very fitting for the castle and ambiance of the city.

andy warhol and sparta praha.

I went to an Andy Warhol exhibit and a Sparta Prague football (soccer) game yesterday. It was a great day...I love how there is always something to do in this city...and I've only been here a week!

a day at the park.

We have had perfect weather the last few days in Prague! It has been a lovely welcome to the city. Pavel, his American friend Zach, and myself went to a park near campus yesterday. We smoked hookah, the boys played guitar, and we drank my first Moravian wine (absolutely delicious). See below for some photos.

Today my roommate, Stefania, moved in to our dorm. She is from Italy and is a total sweetheart! One of my suitemates, Lena, also moved in and she is from Germany. I really enjoy having such a versatile mix, I think it will be a great learning experience. I'm even making Stefy teach me some Italian...so ciao for now!

Park time...I had to get my fix of live music for the weekend, since ACL is underway in Austin right now.

The view from the park - notice Prague Castle and Old Towne in the background.

i <3 praha.

I'm alive, safe, and having a great time in Prague thus far! This city is truly amazing...every time I turn a corner there's something that literally takes my breath away. The architechture of the buildings is remarkable, as well as the fact that it is all original - luckily not much was destroyed during the war, making it one of the few Eastern European countries that didn't have much reconstruction.

My friend Pavel took me around the city yesterday, where we toured St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle, the Orloj, and many other attractions. See below for a few photos...

Prasna Brana (Powder Tower) and the Municipal House .

Well, I'm off to enjoy another beautiful day in the city. We're going to hang out in a park near campus and enjoy the fantastic weather!

zbohem austin.

This weekend was my official farewell from Austin...I went to the Texas v. TCU game and said my goodbyes to close friends...I'm of course going to miss Austin and the people in it, but am looking forward to departing on Wednesday.

Oh yeah...and I cut 3 1/2 inches off of my hair.

Czech it out in this photo.
